Mr. Dan Leung, CIH, CSP, CAC, CDPH
Mr. Leung is one of the Certified Industrial Hygienists and Vice President of SCA, and has more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, industrial hygiene concerns, environmental assessments project management, and remediation monitoring. Mr. Leung has an extensive history with managing site surveys for hazardous materials such as asbestos (including naturally-occurring asbestos), lead, PCBs, mercury-containing compounds, metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, and other environmental contaminants; remedial design and implementation; preparation of work plans and contract documents; and construction monitoring.
Mr. Leung is the lead Project Manager on numerous University of California Berkeley (UCB) projects which include the High-Performance Athletic Complex, Warren Hall, and Stiles Hall. These projects involved soil characterization of the site for redevelopment purposes. The analytes of concern included metals (CAM-17), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), soluble volatile organic compounds (SVOCs), total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH gas, diesel and motor oil), and organochlorine pesticides.
Mr. Leung is also the Program Manager for SCA’s contract with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), and has worked on numerous projects similar to Port-owned properties involving site assessment and remediation. Mr. Leung designed the site assessment and remediation at these sites.
Mr. Leung acts in a similar capacity for a number of other contracts held by SCA, including but not limited to SCA’s current On-Call contracts with Port of Oakland, San Francisco Public Works, San Francisco Recreation & Parks, City of San Jose, and University of California Berkeley and University of California Santa Cruz.
