Christina Codemo, CHMM, REPA, CAC, CESCO
Ms. Christina Codemo is the President of SCA and has more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting and hazardous materials management, specializing in hazardous materials investigations, site assessments, and waste characterization sampling and management. As President of SCA, Ms. Codemo manages a number of high-profile environmental services contracts for SCA, including but not limited the County of San Mateo Department of Public Works, San Francisco Public Works, and the Port of San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport, and the San Francisco General Rebuild Project, among others.
Ms. Codemo has an extensive history with managing site surveys for hazardous materials such as asbestos (serpentine), lead, PCBs, mercury-containing compounds, metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, and other environmental contaminants; remedial design and implementation; preparation of work plans and contract documents; and construction monitoring. Ms. Codemo has completed the full range of contaminated site Phase I and II ESAs and Phase III remediation projects, ranging from simple waste characterization to construction management of large-scale soil and groundwater remediation projects.
Ms. Codemo has managed site assessments, groundwater investigations, soil-vapor investigations, remedial actions, and facility cleanups and closures. She routinely negotiates with State and local regulatory agencies including the DTSC, RWQCB, local environmental health departments, etc., regarding all phases of investigation, remediation, and case closure and has efficiently managed remediation at a variety of sites ranging from former rail facilities to industrial and brownfield sites.
She is well versed in federal, state and local regulations related to soil, soil vapor and groundwater assessment and remediation, and has worked with extensively with local developers to obtain closure for contaminated sites for mixed use and residential redevelopment. She is also well versed in Article 22A and SFDPH requirements.
